The Developer/Analyst participates in the development and maintenance of complex software application systems. Participates in the evaluation, maintenance, and integration of vendor-supplied application software, and in the analysis of new technologies and automation capabilities. Prepares accurate development estimates based on specifications. Develops test plans and system documentation, and participates in design reviews of systems and programs.


Codes, compiles, tests, debugs, and documents complex services and solutions within the Product Development purview. Modifies existing application systems from detailed system design specifications. Develops detailed test scripts and performs quality checks to verify accuracy and completeness; documents modifications to programs.
Develops specifications and development plans based on functional requests, procedural needs descriptions, and client input, and provides accurate time and cost resource estimates for assigned development projects. Provides regular progress updates to management and identifies areas of concern. Participates in design discussions and prototype demonstrations to ensure that systems address the intended business need, all project tasks are addressed, and systems take advantage of current technological capabilities.
Supports purchased application systems. Performs feasibility studies and other fact-gathering studies to document clients’ existing manual and automated information processing systems. Investigates and analyzes new technologies and automation capabilities and determines applicability to customer and system needs. Conducts studies for various alternatives and recommend a method of information processing.
Develops, writes, and maintains systems and operations documentation to ensure effective performance of installed systems. Provides briefing and training on new or complex systems to AgVantis personnel.
Coordinates the development and implementation of plans to test the completeness and accuracy of assignments.
Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Education including a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of software development; at least 1-3 years of professional or academic experience in designing and creating software applications in these environments is preferred.
Experience with SQL and C# is preferred.
Skill in oral, written, and interpersonal communication; systems analysis and design; complex computer programming.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to develop short and long-range plans; travel on a limited basis in the performance of the job.
